Kristi R Lively , DVM, ABVP Canine and Feline Specialty

Dr. Lively currently serves as a Board Member to the Young-Williams Animal Center, and the Companion Animal Initiative in Tennessee. She is also an active member of the Society for Theriogenology, the Knoxville Veterinary Medical Association and the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association Peer Review Committee. She was elected as Tennessee's New Graduate Representative for the AVMA's annual Leadership Conference. Dr. Lively has served as president of the Knoxville Veterinary Medical Association. In 2005 She successfully achieved status as a Diplomat for the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, specializing in Canine and Feline practice. In 2006, she was recognized as the TVMA’s Young Veterinarian of the Year. Most recently, she was awarded the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine’s First Decade of Achievement award.

 

 

 

Adele F Mays , DVM

Dr. Adele Mays graduated first in her class at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.  She received the Sterling Radiology Award for Outstanding Achievement in Veterinary Radiology and was also awarded the Chancellor's Citation for Extraordinary Professional Promise. Dr. Mays is a 1989 graduate of Vanderbilt University, with a double major in English and Philosophy. Dr. Mays'  areas of special professional interest include internal medicine, radiology, and ultrasonography.




Kari Rothrock , DVM

Dr. Kari Rothrock has lived in Farragut since 1990. She graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors from the University of Tennessee in 1999 with a major in biology. Dr. Rothrock graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 as a member of Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. Dr. Rothrock's special interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and feline medicine. She is a member of The American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Dr. Rothrock shares her home with her husband Ben and their two wonderful cats, Sophie and Gracie. They are currently involved in the domestic adoption process. In her spare time Dr. Rothrock enjoys traveling, playing cards, and watching sports (especially football and UT basketball).

 

 

 

 

 

Amie Goodrich , DVM

Dr. Amie Goodrich recently relocated to Tennessee after spending most of her life in upstate New York.  She received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Cornell University.  In 2004, Dr. Goodrich graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, Massachusetts.  At Tufts, Dr. Goodrich was awarded the Academic Excellence Award, Radiology Award and Westminster Kennel Club Scholarship.  Since graduation, Dr. Goodrich has worked in a busy companion animal hospital near Syracuse, NY.  Dr. Goodrich has particular interests in behavior, dermatology, radiology and chronic pain management. Dr. Goodrich lives with her husband, Ron, and their two cats (Peanut and Frank). Her hobbies include hiking, gardening and cooking.  Dr. Goodrich is very excited about her move to Tennessee and looks forward to milder weather, exploring bluegrass music, and meeting new people!

 

 

Allison Smith, DVM

Dr. Allison Smith graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1999 with a BA in Integrative Physiology and a minor in Biology. Before committing to a career in veterinary medicine, she worked for several years in San Francisco, CA for Walt Disney and Arthur Andersen. Dr. Smith graduated in the top of her class from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She is a member of Phi Zeta, Phi Kappa Phi, Gamma Sigma Delta and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies. She was one of four recipients of the Merck Award for demonstrating outstanding qualities of citizenship and leadership in 2005, and received the Myron Taylor Myers Scholarship based upon potential for success in 2006 and 2007. Dr. Smith joins VVMC from a high volume small animal practice and has a special interest in internal medicine, clinical pathology, and oncology. She lives in Knoxville with her husband Fred, their daughter Penelope, and 2 golden retrievers, Sam and Lilly.

 



Rhea Morgan DVM, DACVIM, DAC VO

Dr. Morgan received her DVM degree from the University of Illinois in 1976. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at South Shore Veterinary Associates, South Weymouth MA. She went on to a residency in small animal medicine at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, Boston MA and a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Morgan is board certified in both small animal medicine and ophthalmology. Over the past 28 years she served on the staff at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, became a tenured professor at the University of Tennessee, and served as Chief of Staff at Rowley Memorial Animal Hospital, Springfield MA.




Mili Bass, DVM, DABVP, Canine and Feline Specialty 

Dr. Mili Bass opened Village Veterinary Clinic in 1982, with her parents Vi and Earlie Cooper working in the new practice as receptionist, yardman, assistant, and “go-fer”.  As a family affair, the practice grew; Drs. Mays and Lively joined the Village family, and the rest, as they say, is history.  Dr. Bass has a special interest in soft tissue surgery.  She is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, and maintains a referral practice in acupuncture of dogs, cats, and horses.  She has also worked as a “locum tenens” in Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands. Since 1999, Dr. Bass has represented Tennessee in the House of Delegates of the American Veterinary Medical Association.  She is slated for the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association Presidency in 2009, and recently received that Association’s Distinguished Service Award.  Mili serves on the Board of Advisors of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, and has been named to The Chancellor’s Associates.  She is a Practitioner Advisor for the journal “Veterinary Medicine”, and is the owner and manager of Dream Katcher Lodge, a luxury boarding facility for cats and dogs.
