Internet Pharmacy

Before using an Internet pharmacy, please consider visiting our online store via your Pet Portal. This store is offered only to our personal clients and is not open to the public. The products in our online store come directly from our distributor, ensuring it is an approved and recommended product that has been properly handled and stored. Direct from the distributor stock also allows for more competitive internet pricing. We ensure the accuracy of dosage and instructions for all prescription medications. In addition, there are several products we do not stock at VVMC, that are available for you in the online store, such as options for heart worm preventive, dental care, various prescription diets and flea control. If you have any questions feel free to contact the office.

Here at Village Veterinary Medical Center our clients always have the option of having a prescription filled at an Internet pharmacy.  However, because some Internet pharmacies have dubious business practices, we need a direct request from you with the name of the Internet pharmacy and what prescription drugs your pet needs.  One way to check an Internet pharmacy’s reputation is to look for the Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (VIPPS) seal of approval.  VIPPS is a service of the National Association of Boards Pharmacy www.nabp.net and its seal of approval identifies those online pharmacies that are appropriately licensed to practice pharmacy via the Internet.

If the Internet pharmacy is a safe and ethical provider of pharmacy drugs we will ask you to give them our contact information.  They will fax the request to us for approval and then the order can be refilled and shipped to you.
